Is Crème de la Mer Worth the Hype?

Is Crème de la Mer Worth the Hype?

Crème de la Mer is one of the world’s most talked about and sought-after anti-aging moisturizers. It is loved by celebrities and fashionistas for it’s power to transform and heal dry aging skin. Given my recent skin issue (dry and dehydrated) of course, I had to buy La Mer and see if it was actually worth all the hype. Top 5 Essential Oils for Skincare

Essential Oils

I’m obsessed with essential oils…really…I mean, what can you not do with them? They’re good for headaches, skincare, muscle aches, colds…on and on. Tea Tree (Melaleuca oil) is one of the most well known essential oil out there. It is taken from the leaves of the Melaleuca alternifolia, which is native to Southeast Queensland and the Northeast coast of New South Wales, Australia. Tea tree oil is antibacterial and is great for treating acne and skin irritations. It also helps regulate oil production. You can apply it straight out of the bottle…a little goes a long way. Moisturizer 101

When searching for the perfect moisturizer for your skin type, it is important to understand what a moisturizer exactly is. Moisturizers don’t add moisture, instead they attract and trap existing water in the skin. Three main ingredients in a moisturizer are humectants, emollients and occlusives. Together their properties keep the skin healthy and hydrated by holding onto water, reducing evaporation and sealing in moisture. Continue Reading
