The 2010 development of Kiehl’s globally best-selling and award-winning Midnight Recovery Concentrate positioned the company as a pioneer in the facial oil category and helped fuel today’s oil trend in the beauty industry. Now Kiehl’s chemists are continuing their leadership in this category with an extraordinary formula specifically developed to support skin’s daytime defenses: introducing Daily Reviving Concentrate.
Crème de la Mer is one of the world’s most talked about and sought-after anti-aging moisturizers. It is loved by celebrities and fashionistas for it’s power to transform and heal dry aging skin. Given my recent skin issue (dry and dehydrated) of course, I had to buy La Mer and see if it was actually worth all the hype. For those of you who do not know about this product, here is a little background:
Crème de la Mer was developed by Dr. Max Huber, an aerospace scientist to treat his severe chemical burns which he sustained in an accidental explosion during an experiment. Dr. Huber sold and marketed this product himself. After his death, his daughter continued selling the cream until Estée Lauder purchased the rights to manufacture and distribute it.
I’ve always had oily/combination skin my entire life, but recently it has been dry and dehydrated, which made me change my entire skin regimen. For those of you who have dry and dehydrated skin, know how annoying the winter months are. One particular hydrating serum that I absolutely love and cannot live without is Skinceutical’s Hydrating b5 gel. This serum is enriched with vitamin B5 and hyaluronic acid. Before I get into how awesome this product is, a little background on the active ingredients:
What is Hyaluronic acid?
Hyaluronic acid is a gel-like water holding molecule that is the space filler and cushioning agent in all mammals. It cushions joints, nerves, hydrates skin and hair, and fills the eye. Almost half of body’s hyaluronic acid is located in the collagen of the skin, where it provides moisture, plumpness, firmness and suppleness to the skin.
