Skinceuticals is a brand you are definitely going to run into alot in this blog. I started researching this brand the moment I saw it on the shelves at my dermatologist’s office. Made in USA, Skinceuticals is used by dermatologists, plastic surgeons, and medi-spas for daily homecare and to complement aesthetic procedures. The brand’s story started long before the company’s founding in 1994, thanks to the pivotal research performed by Dr. Sheldon Pinnell. In the years since, they have continued to pave the way with breakthroughs that have changed the face of skin science. The product I’ll be reviewing today is A.G.E. Eye Complex, which is a correcting eye cream.
A.G.E. eye complex is a nourishing three-dimensional treatment that contains a unique combination of ingredients to improve the appearances of dark circles, puffiness and wrinkles. It is suitable for dry, dehydrated and aging skin.
Complex of flavonoids and synergistic peptides: Diminishes dark circles, under-eye bags, reinforce firmness and tone.
Blueberry extract: Inhibits glycation to keep skin supple and flexible while protecting healthy skin from premature breakdown.
Proxylane™: Stimulates synthesis of glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), the essential molecules responsible for holding water and nutrients in the skin.
Optical diffusers: Light-reflecting particles immediately improve the radiance of dull, tired eyes.
Price: $92 USD 15g/ml
I’ve been using Skinceuticals A.G.E. Eye Complex for a couple of months now and have indeed seen a difference. My eye area in general is healthy, I have no crow’s feet or wrinkles, but a little hint of dark circle and dryness. The product has helped with the dark circles and also made the skin around the area plump and hydrated. I bought this cream with prevention in mind instead of correction. I think everyone in their 20s should start incorporating an eye cream in their skincare regimen. I apply it twice daily, morning and night around the eye, brow and in between the brow areas. I usually apply it with my finger in a tapping motion and have sometimes, when I’m not to lazy, used it with my Clarisonic Opal. This eye cream is very creamy in texture and absorbs very quickly…which is very helpful as you don’t have to wait too long before applying eye makeup. This is the only eye cream that did not irritate my sensitive skin.
THE BOTTOM LINE
My family and friends always ask me for recommendations on eye creams and Skinceuticals A.G.E. Eye Complex is definitely a product I highly recommend to anyone looking into preventing or correcting existing issues around the eye area.
