Let me introduce you guys to my favorite Retro Matte lipsticks…but first, a little background:
MAC Cosmetics first launched their Retro Matte Collection in Fall 1999, which was essentially a mattified texture of lipsticks. The collection featured 6 lipstick colors, of which only Ruby Woo was made permanent, due to its extreme popularity. Ruby Woo is one of the top selling lipsticks in the world! This vivid cool toned red lipstick looks good on everyone. Rihanna loved Ruby Woo so much so that she collaborated with MAC Cosmetics and created her own personalized version of that gorgeous cherry red in a limited edition shade called RiRi Woo. She also had a few other limited edition colors in the same Retro Matte finish throughout 2013.
Who doesn’t like MAC lipsticks? In the last few years, makeup for me has been all about nude shadows or lined eyes, and lipsticks….in BRIGHT colors. I love MAC’s Matte and Retro Matte lipsticks. So, here are my fav MAC red lipsticks…so far.
